I feel so proud to know I didn’t give up on myself. Being with the whole crew at dinner was magical! I loved seeing everyone in their healthier bodies! From the beginning of this DYAO journey, I have always said..."I look forward to one day walking away from this experience the best version of myself." And it looks like we all have walked away with just that! I believe "We" all have an Inner Glamorous Star persona, hence my term "GlamRockSTARZ."
Family is so important to me...Mom is my biggest inspiration! I grew up with financial difficulties and was raised in a single parent household. My mother always taught us to live Honest Clean Lives and although we were poor, she made it a point to always instill our family bond with Unconditional LOVE and Affection, hence mom’s famous Quote, 'Beans, Rice, and Jesus Christ"...This is where I feel so incredibly RICH and Abundant! So you can only imagine what a huge deal it was for me to have my deepest most cherished prizes with me on such an intense and amazing day. MY Family is the Riches of my Life. My sister Pamela was able to squeeze in the audience also. She was not on camera but I could see her, point being, My spirit was vibrating with "Love energy" because I had my Family with me! I loved that they were in the audience on such a huge moment in my life! It was perfect!
I wanted to show everyone my Latino and Native Indian side with the look! Raw and Authentic! In my 1st number, I feel I showed I advanced by adding floorwork, jumps, sharp movements and the final pose handstand...2nd number was a total blast. My body was able to do an advanced Salsa with even more Latino flavor. It feels amazing to have stronger energy! I now feel like a Dancer!
I feel so proud to know I didn’t give up on myself. I Loved myself enough this time to make the difference! I pushed my mind body and soul to limits that I didn’t even know I could reach! Over 110 lbs in 3 1/2 months is almost unbelievable, but I can believe it because I did it! Willpower, determination, the desire to want to live my best life, and “Self-LOVE” is what pushed me... I feel happy that I can say "I DID IT." I lost my goal weight and then some. I do this not only for myself but to inspire others and show them "YES I CAN" & "So Can YOU,” all Natural, No Diet Pills, No Surgery. I ate my way into this healthier body with Dance and Exercise. This is a wildest dreams moment come true!
I am taught in my spiritual beliefs that Harboring Negative energy and Negative emotions will get you nowhere but stuck in the same place...with more Negative energy and Negative emotions... At first I was Disappointed that LaToya won and I didn’t Win the $100,000, Naturally! I have been working like a Warrior on my Weight loss and Dance, and I truly Felt Deserving of the reward for my incredible weight loss and Dance efforts. I did lose over 110lbs in 3 1/2 months...and at the same time, I have to remember how momma taught me growing up to live in a CLEAN HONEST and LOVING way and all things that are good for you WILL BE!..."I AM RICH in our Unconditional LOVE and Family Bond." I am a man of great faith and so I say with a Clean Honesty and from LOVE, Congrats to LaToya for winning the $100,000, but I’m so proud to say I too walk away the true winner... I have no Diabetes, or Heart disease risks any longer. I no longer snore with sleep apnea, my overall health in mind, body, and spirit are truly Fulfilled and I’m so excited that my high school musical theater dance background was enough training to go up against an “Alvin Alley” trained dancer...I have proven to be a Fair, Clean, Honest, Loving competitor and although I didn’t walk away with the $100,000, I was brought to this place in my life on time and for A great purpose and I stand strong in my faith...I am so happy to feel so much Love from the American Viewers and that makes me feel like I have won even more than $100,000. The best part is I can truly say I walk away from DYAO season 2 a Transformed Magical Inspirational Spiritually Enlightened Person who Wants to, and will continue my path of Health Fitness Dance and Inspirational speaking! My payment is..."Paying it Forward." I wish LaToya all the best and I ask God to bless her thru her Journey. As for me, I spread my Wings and take onto New and Higher Flight, I will soar with the great people who support and Love me. Thru it all, I’m so grateful for this Life Changing experience and I feel a true Responsibility to be a positive role model for all of my GlamRockSTARZ! I will keep the “GlamRockSTAR Health, Dance & Fitness movement” Forward and I look Forward to meeting with all of you again very soon! Keep your Eyes and Ears open you may see me sooner than later! he he (Wink, Wink) I’m in great spirits today and so here I GOOOO...I have unzipped the body I lived in for almost 10yrs, the inner GlamRockSTAR who was always inside has stepped out to reveal himself to the world! My life has changed for the better since being part of DYAO. 1st thank you and Love you Mama Lisa Ann Walter for creating a "space" in the world where "I fit in” and I know I speak for most of us who battle with weight management issues. I am now educated with Health Fitness and Nutrition! I always thought I knew enough about nutrition but man was I wrong...Rachel Beller (Nutritionist), Lee (the General Crunch Trainer), Dr. Jordan Gellar (Doctor) Were my "Angel DREAM TEAM!" I could not have lost this 115lbs in 3 1/2 months with out them. My role model Oprah Winfrey has taught me so much thru her shows, a couple favorite Quotes from her are "When you know better, you do better" and "Knowledge is Power!"
