I get shamelessly excited about disco, so this week was extra special for me.

Hey Dancing Machines!

We're back from a long weekend, and we're ready to Shake our Groove Things! I hope you're enjoying Dance Your Ass Off on Monday nights--it's so my new fave show. It will be hard to top disco week, right? Our DYAO contestants worked so hard and really looked like they were having so much fun. I love them all. I don't want any of them to have to be eliminated!

Thanks for reading my blog last week! I want to comment on a post from a fabulous reader. She asked if I had any advice on weight loss and exercise. I'm certainly no trainer or exercise guru (I recommend getting in touch with a great trainer if you can), but I will say that I personally always find it way easier to work out if I'm having a good time. So this Dance Your Ass Off class at Crunch is right on. Also, find a buddy to exercise with. This week, my colleague KB joined me at class, and that made it even more fun!

My weight loss process has been considerably slower than the other contestants because of my age and the fact that I am a Type 2 Diabetic.

I won't say it was always fun but the pain, sweat, tears and joy made ever minute worthwhile.

I lost more weight there than I had in years of trying! What was there to be sad about?

Hi Mary - I love the show and recently joined the DYAO class at my local Crunch gym to begin my path to weight loss and have fun while doing it. I used to be a dancer too and this class takes me back! I can't wait for the next show & your next blog! Keep it up!

That a workout in itself. I think I worked up an appetite for pizza! Is I getting a shout out nex week?

Hey Mary, I seen two episodes of Dance Your a** Off. I like that you be keeping it real for all us big girls. I like to dance but I got a bad addiction to butter and pecan pie. But You bringing inspire to a lot of girls who don't see shows like this on televison.
