Oxygen: Live Out Loud

I love the “AH-HA!” moments in life, the moments that stand still and change your life as you know it forever. That's how it was for me when I saw DYAO for the first time. I remember feeling the most incredible sense of deja vu and knowing all the way to the bottom of my feet that I was meant to watch the show and be inspired. Being inspired was only the beginning. Every week I tuned in making sure never to miss an episode. I would convince all of my family and friends to watch Dance Your A** Off, including my best friend Julian who became a huge fan as well. Julian and I were watching DYAO one beautiful summer night and that was the night that sparked the idea of me... perhaps getting on DYAO and changing my life. We knew we had to act fast. I realized right then and there when my heart began to race and I was daydreaming of all the wonderful things that could be. I knew with all my soul that it was destiny. I had such a busy schedule with my job at that time and I wasn't exactly sure how the universe was going to answer my prayer and make my dreams come true, but thankfully an amazing best friend can help the process a bit. Julian, my dear, did all of the leg work online and before I knew it, I had a copy of the application in my hands, audition dates, and most importantly stars in my eyes. I knew this was the moment my whole life had been leading up to! I couldn't wait to get started!

The medical evaluation that I went through for the show was emotionally difficult for me. No reflection whatsoever on the handsome Dr.Geller. However, since I was 17 years old, I have been told by all of my physicians that I was obese, and that word is definitely a hard pill to swallow. Obese. This time was no exception. Extremely difficult to hear. I was so worried what people at home would think of me, grateful there wasn't a mirror that would show me what I had been hiding and dreading hearing my current weight. Dr. Geller was so kind and informative and made sure to alleviate some of the pressures and I would re-live the experience a hundred times for Dance Your A** Off! So grateful for my medical intervention!


Realizing I had made the show was one of the most beautiful moments in my life. It was the moment I realized that dreams can really come true. I felt blessed and touched for an opportunity to share with the world, and hopefully inspire someone. I thought back to my entire life—It almost flashed before my eyes like a movie—and I kept thinking to myself that all of it, all of the ups and the downs in my life, had been leading me to this moment. It was exactly where I needed to be...fate accomplished.

I have so many hopes and dreams for the show. I hope that I can represent and prove worthy of such an amazing gift. I hope to be healthy and happy. I want the best version of myself to shine through and win it all! I can't wait to improve on my dance and learn and change for the better as a performer and a human being! I can't wait to touch people’s lives and be touched by others and their experiences! That's what it's all about!

Not only can I entertain you, but I also have a lot of heart and passion. I am confident and humble, fiery and cool. Not to be underestimated, I always have a few tricks up my sleeve. I am a born performer and my life is a stage.


This season, expect to see some fierce performances and sexy, confident, fabulous me. Seriously though, everyone can look forward to watching a young lady give her whole heart and soul for something she wants more than anything and believes in with her whole being. Going through so many amazing moments that can define a person, and most importantly, leaving it all on the dance floor!
