Mayte Garcia showcases her knowledge of dance as a judge on Oxygen’s new dance/weight loss competition series Dance Your Ass Off.

Garcia started ballet training when she was three years old and soon after started performing as a belly dancer across the U.S. She appeared on the television program That’s Incredible as the youngest professional belly dancer at the age of eight. Garcia moved with her family to Germany and continued her study of dance, where she had the opportunity to perform with the classical ballet company Wiesbaden Staatstheater. In 1990, she caught the attention of music artist Prince and received her breakthrough role touring with Prince’s Diamonds and Pearls album and appearing in his music video Seven. Soon after, Garcia elevated her role and became the focus of his next album.
